We prioritize initiatives that align with our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals, and we remain committed to supporting partners and events that boost the visitor economy and contribute to our community’s economic growth.
Elevate Aviation
We proudly support Elevate Aviation’s Cross Country Tour, aimed at introducing young women and underrepresented youth to diverse career opportunities in aviation, by sponsoring and assisting with the tour at YOW.
Hope Air
This organization provides free flights to low-income Canadians who must travel for medical care that does not exist in their communities - many travel to Ottawa-Gatineau. Hope AIr receives the funds from our collection bins and water features in the terminal, and more.
Support Our Troops
The Authority was honoured to be the inaugural partner of the nationwide art easel program. The program has since been rolled out to 22 airports and raises funds for Canada’s military personnel and their families.
Dreams Take Flight
The Ottawa Chapter is Dreams Take Flight organizes an annual trip of a lifetime from YOW to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida for children with special needs who live in our community. An Authority representative happily volunteers help with the trip every year.
Bring your kid to work day
The Authority invites its employees to give their kids the opportunity to observe the different careers available, and the roles and skills needed, to work at an airport.
