Ottawa Airport Authority Reporting Policy

The Ottawa Airport Authority is committed to excellence in safety management. Our primary objective is to build, operate and maintain a safe, sustainable airport for our employees and customers.

To achieve this, it is imperative that we have uninhibited reporting of all hazards, incidents and accidents which may compromise the safe conduct of operations at the Ottawa International Airport. To this end, every employee is responsible for communicating any information that may impact the integrity of safety at the Ottawa International Airport.

The Ottawa Airport Authority shall not take disciplinary action against any employee who discloses a hazard or occurrence. Non-punitive reporting shall not apply to information received from a source other than an employee of the Ottawa Airport Authority, or which involves an illegal act or a disregard of regulations or procedures.

All employees are encouraged to use our reporting processes so that we can learn from the information reported in order to continuously improve upon our safety performance.
