Deanna Monaghan is a recently retired senior audit partner of a global professional services firm where she was admitted to Partnership in 1994. She has 38 years’ experience advising public and private global companies across many industry sectors, providing guidance on financial reporting, audit, accounting and risk management. Deanna was the Managing Partner of the Ottawa office of EY for 15 years and served as the National Leader of the Government & Public Sector Assurance practice.

Deanna has been highly active in the not-for-profit, charitable and volunteer community having served as the Chair of Applications Committee of CPA Ontario. She has also served as a Board and Executive Committee member and Treasurer of the Audit and Finance Committee of several not-for-profit organizations and foundations in the Ottawa area. Deanna was on the Board of Governors of the University of Ottawa and chaired the Audit Committee. She joined the Airport Authority’s Board in 2022 as an At Large member, and chairs the Audit Committee. 

Deanna was born and raised in Ottawa and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa in 1983. In 2006, she became a Fellow of CPA Ontario, for the honour she has brought to the profession through her commitment to CPA Canada, her career success and her community service. Deanna has also obtained the Institute of Corporate Directors designation, ICD.D.
