Joel Tkach has served as Vice President of Business Development, Marketing and Customer Transportation at the Airport Authority since 2015. His portfolio includes air service, customer experience, leasing, land development, stakeholder engagement, parking, ground transportation, research, and cargo. Before joining the Airport Authority, Joel held key roles at Canada Jetlines during its start-up phase, the Vancouver International Airport Authority, Destination British Columbia, and Destination Vancouver. 

Joel holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in commercial aviation from Simon Fraser University and an undergraduate degree from Dalhousie University.

Outside of aviation, Joel is an avid traveller (always advocating for more nonstop flights from Ottawa!) and is involved in minor hockey.
