Krista Kealey

Vice President, Communications and Public Consultation

Krista Kealey has been with the Airport Authority since 2002 and serves as the organization's official spokesperson. Alongside managing media and community relations, she oversees the Airport’s online and social media presence and ensures compliance with official languages at YOW.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton University and has been actively engaged with local organizations such as the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation, the Snowsuit Fund, and the Canadian Club of Ottawa.

As a communications professional, Krista has garnered recognition for her local contributions, including being named to Ottawa’s Top Forty Under 40. Her most cherished accolade is the Ted Bushelman Legacy Award from Airports Council International – North America, presented in 2023 for her outstanding achievements, contributions, and leadership in airport marketing, communications, and customer experience.

Krista finds the aviation industry endlessly fascinating and thrives on its dynamic nature. She is fiercely protective of YOW’s brand and values her role in driving impactful initiatives both within the Airport and the broader community.
