Michèle Lafontaine

Michèle Lafontaine is a legal counsel and notary, member of la Chambre des notaires du Québec since 1994. She is currently Director Legal Affairs at Groupe Nordik.
Previously Michèle was a partner at Gagné Isabelle Patry Laflamme & Associés, from which she retired in 2023 after 29 years. She was a lecturer in the Civil Law Section of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa from 1995 to 2001, and was an assistant professor in the same faculty from 2001 to 2003, teaching business and cyberspace law as well as commercial financing.
Throughout her career, Michèle has counselled a great number of companies in the Outaouais region. She also has acted as a legal advisor for the purchase and sale of businesses, commercial financing, corporate reorganizations. She also has advised private and public organizations on improving governance practices.
An active member of the community, Michèle has been a member of the Airport Authority’s Board of Directors since 2017 as a nominee of the City of Gatineau. Her professional experience is being well applied in her capacity as Chair of the Governance Committee. She also serves as Chair of the Board of the Fonds régionaux de solidarité FTQ (Outaouais).
