Susan Margles

Susan Margles has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Airport Authority since January 2025. Before joining the Authority, Susan was a member of the senior leadership team at Canada Post for nearly 20 years. She held key roles, including Vice President of Government Relations and Policy, Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs, and most recently, Chief People and Safety Officer. In these positions, she played a pivotal role in integrating an Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework into organizational decision-making and advancing safety, human resources, labour relations, and government affairs.

Susan also had a distinguished career in the federal government, where she held senior positions at Transport Canada and the Department of Finance. Known for her ability to address complex issues and foster collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, Susan has earned a reputation as a forward-thinking and results-driven leader.

Susan holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from McGill University. She sees a bright future for the Airport that embraces innovation, growth, and sustainability to better serve Ottawa-Gatineau.

Combining her passion for travel with her Ottawa roots, Susan is excited to contribute to the continued success and development of this vital community asset.
