Pre-board screening

The new CATSA screening area floor was built over Gate 18 using over 50 structural steel members, with some of the largest beams weighing 3,800 lb and measuring 50 feet. The 10,000 square foot floor was constructed using 76 tons of steel and 140 cubic metres of concrete. All the materials had to be hoisted through the exterior curtain walls.
